FEMEA Membership

The purpose of this association is to serve its membership. Our members demonstrate passion and commitment toward music and music education and uphold the credibility of elementary teaching in the music education profession.

We are a component unit of the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA). All memberships and renewals are done through FMEA.

Membership begins on July 1 and expires on June 30 of the following year. Dues must be current to participate in the January Clinic-Conference.

Active Member

Any individual who is engaged in teaching, supervising, or administering music in the elementary schools of Florida.

Introductory Member

Any individual who is a first-year teacher in an elementary school. Access to all Active Member benefits at a reduced dues amount.

Associate Member

Any individual who is not engaged in teaching, supervising, or administering music in elementary schools

Retired Member

Retired members with all the privileges of active membership except the right to hold office or vote.

Collegiate Member

Any student of music education at the college level who is not currently employed in the profession.
