Ruthie Antmann
All-State Chorus Coordinator
Ruthie Antmann is in her 25th year as a music educator, and in her eleventh year as the music teacher at Lost Lake Elementary School in Clermont, Florida. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Education at Florida State University. Prior to her current position, Ruthie taught at Citrus Elementary School in Ocoee, and at Holy Comforter Episcopal School in Tallahassee. She also leads the Children's Choir at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.
Ruthie's students have participated in the All State Chorus, All State Orff Ensemble, Regional Chorus and Orff Ensembles, Lake Sumter Honor Chorus, and Orange County All-County Chorus and Recorder Ensemble. She coordinates and leads regional rehearsals, and helps with organizational details and serves as treasurer for the Lake Sumter Honor Chorus. Ruthie also served for three years as a judge for the All State Orff ensemble auditions, and worked with a team of teachers to write the curriculum blueprints for Lake County Schools. She has presented at the FEMEA Curriculum Fair and the FMEA Pre-Conference, and in 2011, she was presented with the OCPS/Kessler Grand Bohemian Excellence in Teaching Fine Arts Award, as well as the Dorothy Land grant in 2022.
