Jessica Barker, District 5 Chair

My involvement with FEMEA throughout my career has shown me the value of collaboration, shared resources, and professional relationships. Serving on the board of my local Orff chapter has prepared me to contribute effectively to FEMEA, and teaching in both public and private settings has given me a unique perspective on the diverse challenges music educators face. As District 5 Chair, I would work to connect elementary music educators across North Florida through clear communication and collaboration opportunities, including mentorship and networking at regional events. I am passionate about elementary music education and would be honored to contribute my time and experience to help FEMEA continue its mission of providing a comprehensive music education for all children.
