University of Central Florida in Orlando will host our 2022 Central Regional Honor Festival. The event takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Katie Grace Miller, Honor Choir

Katie Grace Miller is an elementary school music teacher in Orange County in Orlando, Florida. She has been teaching for 18 years and currently teaches at Lake George Elementary School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida and received her masters degree in Teacher Leadership with a focus on curriculum development from the University of Central Florida. She teaches before and after-school musical groups named "Lake George Jammers” for 3rd – 5th graders and directs a school musical each year. She was named Teacher of the Year in 2008 and 2020. She has presented clinics to music teachers in various states and has conducted various all county choirs and Orff groups in the state of Florida. She is a regular contributing author to the teacher resource, Activate magazine. She published the book “Get to the Point” with her aunt, Artie Almeida and has 4 published teacher resources of her own. Katie enjoys singing and spending time with her husband Jesse, her 2 children, Jackson and Emily and dog Hobbes.

Rosemary Pilonero, Orff Ensemble

Rosemary Pilonero is in her 29th year of teaching music and 9th year at The Villages Elementary of Lady Lake in Lake County, FL. She taught in Sumter County, FL (8 years) and Ramsey, NJ (12 years). She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Master’s Degree from Montclair State University. Mrs. Pilonero has completed her Orff Certification and two Orff Master Classes. She is a past Treasurer and Assistant Course Director for the Central Florida Orff Chapter and a previous clinician for All-County Orff ensembles in Orange and Seminole counties. She served as a Regional Representative on the American Orff-Schulwerk Association National Board of Trustees and is a Past-President of the Florida Elementary Music Educators’ Association. Rosemary remains an active servant leader as Florida Music Education Association Elementary Orff Ensemble Co-Coordinator and Conference Planning Committee Elementary Clinics Chair. She was named 2001 Elementary Music Educator of the Year by the Florida Music Education Association. Rosemary lives in Wildwood, Florida, with her husband, Mark, and their dogs, Bella and Dolce.
