Regionals Audition Process
Join/Renew FEMEA
In order to access the audition portal your membership in the FEMEA Component as well as FMEA and NAfME must be current.
Verify that Parent/Guardian agrees to register their child if selected and attend as their chaperone.
Submit Audition
Follow the Audition Process for All-State Elementary Chorus, All-State Orff Ensemble or both.Confirm that the parents are willing to send their child if they are selected and attend as their chaperone.
Select Southern Regional box in the audition portal.
Check Acceptance List
Teachers will view the selection list and inform parents. Parents of teachers will need to register quickly because there is only an 8 day window between posted results and the Regional Registration deadline. Teachers are required to attend to serve their students' families while at the festival.

Natalie Winder
Honor Choir
Natalie Winder is a music educator, worship musician, and passionate advocate for creating meaningful, engaging musical experiences that inspire connection, confidence, and excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education and spent four years teaching elementary music, where she also developed and directed a musical theatre program.
From 2007–2020, Natalie served with World Help’s Children of the World Choir in a variety of leadership roles, including team leader, producer, and choreographer. Her years working with this international children’s choir deepened her love for choral music and gave her the opportunity to help children from around the world share their stories and talents through music.
Natalie loves combining her love for music with her love for having fun! She is passionate about creating an environment where students can work hard, grow as musicians, build confidence, and most importantly, enjoy making music together. She is honored to serve as the clinician for this year’s FEMEA Southern Regionals Chorus and looks forward to making music, having fun, and encouraging these talented young singers.
Billy Ferguson
Honors Orff Ensemble
Billy Ferguson retired after 31 years of teaching elementary music in Texas public schools. His students were selected to perform twice at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention and at the American Orff Schulwerk Association National Conference. During his career, Billy was honored as Teacher of the Year three times.
Billy received his Orff Levels Certification and attended the International Course for Music and Movement at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria. He is an AOSA-certified Teacher Educator and currently teaches Level II Pedagogy for the Central Florida Orff Course in Orlando. He has presented workshops at the local, state and national level.
Billy is also the owner of Sweet Pipes, a 48-year-old company specializing in instruments, materials, and resources for elementary music educators.
