David Pletincks
Honor Choir
David Pletincks has just completed 29 years in the middle school classroom teaching band and choir. For the past 18 years, he taught exclusively choral music in Hernando county, just outside Tampa. This summer, he moved to Tallahassee where he is now the Fine Arts Specialist at the Florida Department of Education. While he is loving his new position with an opportunity to affect all fine arts in Florida schools, he's now, for the first time in 38 years, not conducting a choir on a regular basis. Mr. Pletincks is thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the North Regional Honor Chorus.

Denise Mills
Honors Orff Ensemble
Denise Mills is a dynamic and accomplished Music Educator currently celebrating her fifteenth year at Lake Whitney Elementary in Orange County. A proud double-bachelor's recipient in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of Central Florida (UCF), she has built a distinguished career dedicated to student performance and music pedagogy.
She currently leads three high-caliber performance ensembles: an 80-student Choir, an Advanced Orff Ensemble, and a Musical Troupe preparing for their upcoming production of Finding Nemo Kids.
A recognized leader in music pedagogy, Denise is a member and Past President of the Central Florida Orff Chapter. Her dedication is underscored by her Orff certification, attendance at the prestigious Salzburg Summer Course in 2023, and her recognition as an American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) Barbara Potter Scholarship recipient in 2020. She regularly shares her expertise, presenting at the local and state level, and had the pleasure of presenting at the National AOSA Conference in Kentucky. Furthermore, she has had the distinct honor of conducting All-County Orff and Chorus ensembles throughout Florida.
Outside of the classroom, Denise loves spending time with her husband and her adorable five-year-old daughter. She has an obsession with all things pink and sparkly and is thrilled to get the opportunity to work with and create amazing music with the FEMEA Northern Regional students this year!
